Manuel R. Agosin

Dean, Faculty of Economics and Business,

University of Chile

 

Manuel R. Agosin is the current Dean  of  the  School  of Economics and Business of  the University of Chile. An expert in the international and macroeconomic aspects of development, he has been a Professor of the Department of Economics of the University of Chile since 1992 and served as its Chair between January 2009 and June 2010. He has worked as an economic advisor to several Latin American governments and as a consultant  to  the United Nations, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the Latin American Reserve Fund. Between 2001 and 2006 he was the Chief Economist  for Central America, Mexico, Dominican Republic, and Haiti at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, D.C.
